Fun at the Park

We haven't posted in a few days...so we are playing catch-up! Last week we decided to take advantage of the relatively nice weather by going to the park! Kaylee loves the slide as you can see!

Peek-A-Boo

Kaylee climbing the stairs to the slide all by herself :)

Kaleb enjoyed his trip to the park too. Kaylee had to help Mommy push the stroller back to the car. Double Strollers are a beast to push!

Christmas Adventure

We had a wonderful Christmas though we did feel as though it was a bit like the "Griswald Family Christmas!" We began our adventure on Christmas Eve and headed towards Albany. The weather forecast was for some snow flurries but not for much more than that. As we got closer to West Texas the more we realized this forecast was wrong...it was more like a blizzard. A trip that usually takes about 3 hours ended up taking about 6. The last thirty miles took 2.5 hours! I really think I would be fine never seeing snow again. Here are some pictures to prove it!

This picture was taken about 30 miles outside of Albany...

Oh, and don't let me fail to mention that we slid off the road into a ditch hitting a barbed wire fence right outside of town! Thankfully, there was someone behind us that was able to pull us out...like I said it truly was an adventure!

Kaleb Turns Four Weeks!

Here are a few pics of the "Little Man" at four weeks!

Look at those sweet chubby cheeks...it's amazing how much he looks like Kaylee did at this point :) This is what you should know about Kaleb at four weeks...

1. He loves the Christmas tree and looking at all the bright lights.

2) The lamp is one of his favorite things too...as you can see he is beginning to be drawn in by the lights.

3) He loves to eat...we're even adding a bit of rice cereal to his milk to help tide him
over!

4) He's beginning to really watch Kaylee and I'm sure he's thinking she's a bit crazy ;)

5) He's still a snuggle bug...and he's beginning to like his swing a little more...the Baby Bjorn is a little better because he can still SNUGGLE with Mommy!

6) He has made his first trip to the park riding in the Baby Bjorn and has attended his first Christmas Party.

Mommy Daughter Movie Night

Kaylee and I have begun having Mommy Daughter Movie Nights. Our first one began while Brandon was in his Grad night class on Monday Nights. Our first movie to watch together was how the Grinch Stole Christmas. She loved the music and kept saying "Oh, no!" when the Grinch stole all the toys. Then last week we watched Cinderella together. I'm always singing the song "Cinderelly" to her because I feel like I'm constantly doing "Cinderelly" tasks keeping up with the two of them! Usually there is no way that I could get her to sit still for that long...but the girl LOVES popcorn!

Kaylee and Kaleb

This was the picture taken the first time Kaylee got to "hold" Kaleb. As you can see she thought the experience was too funny! Kaleb on the other hand, was wondering if Daddy was crazy to put him into her hands...but even he had to admit how well she did holding him!

Kaylee's Two!

Oh, I absolutely cannot believe my Ladybug is two! These past two years have gone by so fast. It's amazing how one day can change your life forever. On December 12, 2007 the sweetest little girl entered my life and it has never been the same. Before she was born, I constantly wondered how much I would love her and how she would change my life. I love her more than words can say. It's a kind of love that I would never have dreamed possible. Yes, there are moments when I want to pull my hair out but none of these moments could ever change how much I love her. I am so thankful that God allowed me to have such a beautiful, sweet, fun, bubbly, and outgoing daughter. I pray that God continues to show us how to be the best parents we can be for her and that we are able to show His love to her as He would have us to do :)

Yesterday, we celebrated her birthday by having a few friends over. We had everything Abby. She loves Sesame Street! I worked so hard on the cake...and I ended up having to make two...because one bombed out!

See...here is Cake #1

Cake #2 thankfully came out much better...

We enjoyed celebrating her birthday with friends, family, and lots of spaghetti! Our party in our small apartment proved to be an adventure, but it all worked out and everyone had a great time! Here are a few pictures of Kaylee's birthday celebration :)

Check out her earrings, she's two going on sixteen! She loves playing dress up!

Kaylee and her Besties

Here are a few things to know about Kaylee at the beginning of age two :)
1) She NEVER sits still...well almost never anyway...
2) She loves to sing! She loves the Itsy Bitsy Spider, The Wheels on the Bus, Jesus Loves Me, Happy Birthday Jesus, and just about anything else with a good beat!
3) She has a great vocabulary, but her favorite word seems to be NO!
4) Her best friend is her blankie, or as she calls it "Key."
5) She loves to play crazy with her Daddy. She'll even go and take off his glasses so he knows it's time to play. The crazier the better, we have a dare-devil on our hands :)
6) She loves to help take care of her baby brother. Giving him a bath is one of her favorite things to do.
7) She loves playing baby dolls and dress up.
8) She loves shoes, especially her pink boots!
9) She loves brushing her teeth and must have her hair fixed.
10) Some of her favorite foods are spaghetti, Mexican food, hamburgers, CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, goldfish, apples, peaches, oranges...but she doesn't do to well with her veggies!

Kaleb is three weeks old!

Our little man just turned three weeks! It seems so impossible, it is already going by so fast. This is what you should know about him at three weeks:
1) He loves snuggling with his Mommy. I do have him a bit spoiled and he loves to be held!
2) He is a REALLY good eater. We are even thinking about putting rice cereal in his bottle because he is eating so much :)
3) Kaleb is very wide eyed and alert, he is trying to figure out his crazy sister...this may take awhile.
4) He is waking up around three times per night...usually around 11...3...and 6'ish...
5) He sometimes doesn't want to go back to sleep at three...so we have to snuggle for a bit
6) Sometimes he likes the swing and he LOVES his car seat. The car seat puts him right to sleep.
7) He is so laid back and easy going, he is such a sweet boy!

Mommy's Christmas Photo Shoot

I wanted to get a few good Christmas pictures with Kaylee and Kaleb with the tree...and they actually semi-cooperated! AMAZING, it is so hard to get a good picture of them especially at the same time. Here are a few of our favorites:

Meeting the Santa Cow

Brandon and I took the kids to see the Santa Cow at Chic-Fil-A on Saturday. Kaylee was not so sure what to think...so I had to take the picture with her. I keep teasing her that I hope I don't have to be in the Santa pictures for the next ten years :) Kaleb almost missed out on the pictures due to him napping in his car seat. He woke up just in time for his picture, though he was not too sure about it either, as you can see!

After taking her picture, Kaylee got to share some of her Daddy's Cookies and Cream milkshake with him! She thought it was DELISH!
